Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue Remover is a full-strength, solvent-based formula designed to remove stubborn tar spots and adhesive residue. It is fully compatible with the Gtechniq coating range, making it safe to use on both protected and unprotected vehicles.
Tar spots are a common result of everyday driving and can be extremely difficult to remove without a specialist product. Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue Remover effectively removes contamination without tarnishing or dulling the vehicle’s finish.

Gtechniq W7 Tar and Glue Remover Application Information
Simple steps to help you get the best results:
- Shake bottle well before use and wear gloves
- Use out of direct sunlight
- For heavily soiled areas, spray directly onto tar spots
- For lighter contamination, spray onto an MF1 ZeroR Microfibre Buff Cloth and gently wipe the affected area
- Allow the product to dwell for 1–2 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary
- IMPORTANT: Do not allow W7 to come into contact with plastics, rubber, or vinyl – wipe any overspray immediately
- Not suitable for use on PPF, smart repairs, or wrapped vehicles
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Use within 12 months of opening
